A customer at a restaurant in Incheon consumed Samgyetang that contained uneaten chicken feed residue. The customer claims that they did not even receive an apology from the restaurant.

On January 4, a post titled "I Ate Chicken Droppings at a Famous Samgyetang Restaurant in Songdo, Incheon" along with photos was uploaded to an online community.

The person who made the report said, "Around 7:30 p.m. on December 23, I ordered Samgyetang and, while eating, found a chicken gizzard inside. Thinking it would taste good, I took a bite, but immediately noticed the smell and taste of feces, which made me almost vomit and left me shocked."

Afterward, the customer left their contact information in hopes of receiving an apology from the owner, but reported that they were only told, "You cannot speak to the owner." The customer added, "I wasn't looking for compensation, just a sincere apology from the owner, but later the chef called and said the owner was unavailable. Even the staff told me they couldn't reach the owner, which was absurd. The owner was hiding, and only the staff apologized, which made me angry."

Online commenters expressed sympathy for the customer, saying, "Isn't this a violation of the Food Sanitation Act? Report it to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety," "It seems like a mistake by the chicken supplier, but the restaurant's response is disappointing," and "This could be traumatic."
