Namwon International Drone Festival Earns "Certified Exhibition" Status, Proving Its Credibility

Jeonbuk Namwon City has solidified its status as a hub for the drone and robotics industries by obtaining "Certified Exhibition" status from the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association (AKEI), an authorized institution designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

According to Namwon City on January 5, this certification was applied to the exhibition sector of the "Namwon International Drone Festival with Robot," which was held in October last year. The "Exhibition Certification System" is a program in which a specialized institution rigorously verifies the exhibition materials provided by the organizer, thereby granting credibility. Exhibitions that receive certification have their achievements released as objective data, which enhances their external reliability.

A total of 79 companies and organizations participated in the exhibition, sharing the latest technology trends. During the four-day event, an impressive 246,000 visitors attended, making it a great success. The event also received a strong response for its diverse content, including an industrial conference and a robot sports competition.

Based on this certification, Namwon City plans to strengthen its foundation for responding to support projects from related organizations such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and to actively expand its overseas network connections and international exchanges. In particular, in 2026, the city plans to continuously enhance its exhibition and experiential content in connection with central government public projects.

An official from Namwon City stated, "With this certification, the brand value of the Namwon International Drone Festival has been further elevated," adding, "We will work to attract more companies and expand industrial networking both domestically and internationally based on the enhanced credibility we have secured."
