OLED TV Panel Maximizing Light Efficiency
Debut of 51-Inch Automotive P2P and More
LG Display will unveil a wide range of strategic Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) products, perfected with its top-tier technology, at CES 2026, the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology exhibition.
On January 5, LG Display announced that from January 6 to 9 (local time), it will operate both a large-scale OLED booth and an automotive display booth at the Conrad Hotel and the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in the United States. The exhibition theme is "AI-Optimized Displays, OLED for All." The company aims to showcase display technologies optimized for the AI era, while also emphasizing its strategic vision for the popularization of OLED.
At the large OLED exhibition booth set up in the Conrad Hotel, LG Display will introduce a new OLED TV panel that represents the pinnacle of picture quality innovation. This new product incorporates "Primary RGB Tandem 2.0," an advancement of LG Display's proprietary "Primary RGB Tandem" technology, which stacks the three primary colors of light (RGB) in separate layers to emit light. The new panel further maximizes light efficiency through a more sophisticated pixel structure and advanced algorithms.
At the mobility technology pavilion in the LVCC West Hall, LG Display will target global automakers and automotive parts suppliers. In response to the trend toward larger automotive displays, the company will showcase a variety of innovative products, including the first-ever OLED-applied "Automotive P2P" and "Slidable OLED." The "Automotive P2P" solution provides customized infotainment features for each passenger through an ultra-large screen that extends from the driver's seat to the passenger seat.
The 51-inch ultra-large screen is implemented with a single panel, maximizing both touch responsiveness and aesthetics, and features the exceptional picture quality that only OLED can deliver. LG Display has established the production capability to mass-produce Automotive P2P using various technologies, including OLED, Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon (LTPS) LCD, and Oxide TFT LCD.
LG Display will also unveil, for the first time, a concept that applies a slidable OLED for vehicles to the front-seat dashboard. This concept uses a thin, flexible, and ultra-high-definition P (Plastic)-OLED, with part of the screen capable of being rolled up to a curvature of 30R (a circle with a 3 cm radius) and hidden inside the dashboard. During driving, a smaller screen can be used for navigation and other functions, while in autonomous driving mode or when parked, the display can be expanded to a 33-inch large screen for enhanced usability.
