Samil PwC Enters High-Net-Worth Client Market... Launches 'Heritage Center'

First Dedicated Organization Established by an Accounting and Law Firm
"Demonstrating Competitiveness in a Financial Institution-Centric Market"

Samil PwC is establishing a dedicated organization to provide comprehensive advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, becoming the first accounting and law firm to do so.

On January 5, Samil PwC announced the launch of the 'Samil PwC Heritage Center.' The company explained that as the number of high-net-worth individuals continues to grow-particularly among small and mid-sized business owners who are increasingly managing their assets in various ways after selling their companies-demand for professional, comprehensive wealth management advisory services is rising. In response, Samil PwC has decided to actively address this need.

Samil PwC noted that the domestic wealth management (WM) market is heavily focused on financial product sales led by financial institutions. The firm's strategy is to offer customized solutions from an independent perspective, not tied to any specific financial company.

The Heritage Center will design and support optimal asset management strategies for high-net-worth individuals, covering areas such as asset structure design, inheritance and gift strategies, global asset transfers, business advisory, real estate and alternative investments, digital-based asset management, and family office consulting.

In particular, leveraging its strengths in tax and financial advisory, the center plans to provide comprehensive wealth management advisory services that also encompass alternative investments focused on tangible assets such as real estate and art.

In the alternative investment sector, the center will offer reliable services through a network of proven partners in the market. It will focus not only on providing differentiated solutions and strategic advice, but also on ongoing post-advisory management for high-net-worth clients.

Additionally, by utilizing the PwC global network, the center will collaborate with overseas experts in Switzerland, Singapore, the United States, and other countries to offer advisory services on cross-border asset transfers and global tax issues.

The Heritage Center is led by Ryu Gilju, Samil PwC's Head of Markets, with Shin Sangwoo, an expert in alternative investments, serving as the center director. The team also includes partners Kim Unkyu and Park Juhee, who lead the high-net-worth tax advisory team; Lee Jihyuk, partner in charge of the private platform; Hong Jiyun, a commercial law expert; and Jung Haemin, partner at AX Node, an AI-specialized organization.

Going forward, Samil PwC plans to introduce AI-based customized wealth management advisory solutions for high-net-worth clients by applying its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) agent model, which is already being provided to corporate clients.

Shin Sangwoo, Head of the Samil PwC Heritage Center, stated, "High-net-worth individuals want more than just recommendations for financial products-they are seeking objective and trustworthy comprehensive wealth management services from us. Based on the networks and expertise we have built up over the years, we will provide objective and reliable one-stop total services."
