In cooperation with the Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone
Distribution of support kits including winter gear and food supplies
Woori Bank announced that on January 2, to mark its 127th anniversary, it donated 100 million won to the Korea Foundation for Supporting the Elderly in Need, in order to assist vulnerable seniors who struggle to maintain their daily lives during the harsh winter season.
This donation was part of Woori Bank's anniversary celebrations. The donated funds will be used to support vulnerable elderly individuals during the winter through senior welfare facilities in Seoul. In commemoration of its 127th anniversary, Woori Bank plans to produce and distribute "127 Support Kits"-each consisting of winter gear and food items-to 14 institutions in Seoul, with each institution receiving 127 kits.
The support kits will include winter items such as comforters, heated mats, and hot packs, as well as food supplies. Distribution will be carried out sequentially in cooperation with the Comprehensive Support Center for Elderly Living Alone, which is operated by the Korea Foundation for Supporting the Elderly in Need.
A Woori Bank representative stated, "As a bank that has grown alongside the people for 127 years, we delivered this donation to practice meaningful sharing with the local community on our anniversary. We will continue to provide both financial and non-financial support for vulnerable groups and remain committed to inclusive finance."
