Deloitte Anjin Launches 'AI Pioneer' Training Program... "Leading AI Talent Transformation in the Accounting Industry"

Establishing a Comprehensive AI Training System Covering All Areas of Audit and Non-Audit Services

Deloitte Anjin Accounting Corporation announced on January 5 that it has launched the 'AI Pioneer' program, a specialized AI training course for employees and accountants in the audit division, in order to systematically internalize AI capabilities across all areas of audit and non-audit work.

AI Pioneer is a mid- to long-term AI talent development program designed to enable employees in the audit division to proactively respond to changes in the AI-based business environment and to enhance their understanding of both current audit work and all non-audit operations. Through this initiative, Deloitte Anjin aims to establish a common foundation of AI utilization capabilities among all employees, while nurturing specialized talent at each stage to accelerate the expansion of AI-based services.

The AI Pioneer program initially focuses on strengthening all employees' basic understanding of AI and their practical application skills. In addition to fundamental AI concepts and use cases, it systematically addresses issues of AI ethics, regulation, and accountability, which are becoming increasingly important in the accounting and audit environment. Beyond simply introducing technology, the program’s core objective is to raise awareness about the changes AI will bring to the firm’s work processes and client service structure.

The training curriculum is designed as a step-by-step, in-depth system. The first stage, the 'AI Specialist' course, aims to develop hands-on professionals who can lead the development of content-driven AI services. A key feature is the invitation of external AI experts to train internal accountants as AI technology specialists.

In the AI Specialist course, participants designed and implemented LLM-based applications using Hugging Face and LangChain, and learned through practical exercises how to structure AI applications tailored to accounting and audit work. The course also systematically covered methods to improve AI accuracy and reliability through local model development and building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using internal data. In addition, by utilizing Model Context Protocol (MCP), the course included methods for structurally linking work context and data to AI, thereby strengthening the ability to design AI services that can be immediately applied to real-world work.

The subsequent 'AI Expert' course focuses on developing AI Assurance specialists. The strategy is to reinforce the ability to validate and control the reliability of AI-based systems, data, and algorithms from an audit perspective, in preparation for the expansion of AI Assurance services in the future.

Additionally, a special AI course for audit division executives will be held separately early this month to enhance their understanding. This course will focus on changes in client needs and customer journeys resulting from AI adoption, the transformation direction of the firm’s business model, and issues of AI ethics, regulation, and governance. Going beyond technical training, the course is designed to help management understand AI strategy from a leadership perspective and incorporate it into decision-making.

Jang Sujae, Head of Audit at Deloitte Anjin, stated, "AI is no longer an option but a core technology in the accounting and finance sectors, and we have already entered an environment where it must be integrated into business. All employees must go beyond simply understanding AI to actually applying it in their work." He added, "Starting with AI Pioneer, we will establish ourselves as a leading AI-driven accounting firm through continuous training and investment, and create new client value across all areas of audit and non-audit work."

Deloitte Anjin plans to expand the application of AI Pioneer’s accumulated internal capabilities to all AI-based audit, consulting, disclosure, and data services in the future. The company stated, "This is more than just a training program; it is a strategic move to redefine the entire service model of the accounting firm around AI. AI Pioneer is a proactive example of the future business direction that accounting firms should pursue, and it will bring meaningful change to the industry as a whole."
