This evaluation was based on various criteria related to the overall cargo and transportation work, including efforts in handling civil complaints related to cargo trucks, achievements in establishing temporary parking lots, and records of enforcement activities related to cargo transportation, covering the period from January to October last year.
The city explained that it received high marks for its multifaceted efforts to alleviate parking shortages for large vehicles and to establish order in transportation. Notable examples include the expansion of 861 temporary parking spaces over the past two years, handling 261 civil complaints related to cargo trucks, guidance and enforcement against illegal overnight parking, and investigating and processing 12 cases of suspected fraudulent fuel subsidy claims.
In particular, the "Promotion of Opening and Operation of Temporary Parking Lots for Large Vehicles" was selected as a representative best practice, and the public official in charge of the relevant department was also chosen as a recipient of the governor’s commendation, the city added.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "We will continue to create a safe and pleasant transportation environment through ongoing environmental improvements and the development of new policies."
