Shinyoung Securities Holds New Year's Event to Mark 70th Anniversary

Shinyoung Securities announced on January 5 that it held a New Year's event on January 2 to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse and to commemorate its 70th anniversary.

For its 70th anniversary in 2026, the Year of the Fire Horse, Shinyoung Securities selected the slogan "Jongsim." "Jongsim" is a phrase from the Analects of Confucius, meaning that by the age of 70, one can act according to one's heart without violating the rules of propriety. The "Jongsim" presented by Shinyoung Securities reflects the company's determination to remain steadfast and principled amid change, based on the principles and trust it has built over the past 70 years.

The New Year's event began with executives and employees exchanging handshakes and New Year's greetings on their first day back to work. This was followed by a rice cake soup lunch and a variety of programs, including a New Year's concert. On the way to work, commemorative gifts inspired by the "horse" motif, in celebration of the Year of the Fire Horse, were also distributed.

During the New Year's concert, a stage was set where attendees could naturally reflect on the journey and heritage of Shinyoung Securities through famous movie soundtracks. The performance featured pianist Oh Euncheol, violinist Yoon Jongsoo, double bassist Kim Yuseong, clarinetist Shin Myeong, and guitarist Lee Woohyun. They began with "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing," the OST from the 1955 film "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing," and continued with "My Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music," among other soundtracks spanning generations, to cheer on a hopeful new year for Shinyoung Securities.

A representative from Shinyoung Securities stated, "To mark this meaningful year of our 70th anniversary, we organized this event so that all executives and employees could reflect on the company's footsteps and revisit the history and values we have pursued across generations." The representative added, "Throughout this year, we will continue to strive to strengthen our competitiveness by providing optimal, customized services to our clients."
