"Leading Global Beauty Tech"... K-Beauty Powered by AI Gathers at CES 2026

More Companies Win Innovation Awards, Expanding Their Presence at the Exhibition
APR and Kolmar Korea to Operate Interactive Booths

Korean cosmetics companies are taking the stage at CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer electronics and information technology exhibition, by showcasing personalized beauty technologies powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This year, the number of award-winning entries has increased compared to previous years. As the beauty tech market utilizing AI technology grows rapidly, K-beauty companies are actively engaging in the development of new technologies.

According to the cosmetics industry on January 5, Amorepacific, which has received the Innovation Award in the beauty tech category for seven consecutive years, is unveiling its 'Skinsight' technology at this year’s CES. Jointly developed with a research team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), this technology is an 'electronic skin' platform that uses AI to analyze the causes of skin aging in real time and provides personalized solutions. The patch detects subtle skin movements to predict areas where wrinkles or loss of elasticity may develop in the future and suggests customized skincare routines and products.

LG Household & Health Care received the beauty tech innovation award for the first time this year with its 'Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch,' which incorporates proprietary technology. This product is a personalized device utilizing AI technology, analyzing skin data from approximately 60,000 people to identify individual aging patterns and recommend effective ingredients tailored to each user.

APR, participating in CES for the third consecutive year, is operating its largest-ever booth this year. The company plans to meet with global buyers and industry professionals, focusing on its Medicube cosmetics and Medicube AGE-R beauty devices.

KOLMAR Korea is participating in CES for the second consecutive year with its 'SCAR Beauty Device,' which won the innovation award in the digital health category. This personalized device helps improve scars caused by acne or trauma, automatically dispensing medication and linking with makeup applications. At its experiential booth, the company is also presenting a 'scalp microbiome diagnostic' device for hands-on demonstrations.

Cosmax is participating in CES for the second time, following 2023, with its 'maXpace™' technology, which received the beauty tech innovation award. Developed in collaboration with Professor Kim Hoyoung’s research team at Seoul National University, this personalized device can manufacture skincare products, foundation, and liquid lipsticks all in one machine. An industry insider commented, "With AI becoming indispensable across all industries, Korean beauty companies are accelerating the advancement of AI-driven technologies. Companies with more commercialized solutions are setting up experiential booths to connect with global partners."
