Emphasizing "Winning Tech" and AX in New Year's Address
Moon Hyuksu, President of LG Innotek, announced plans to strengthen profitability in 2026 by building a high-profit portfolio. Since taking office, he has driven fundamental improvements across key business areas, repeatedly emphasizing the importance of securing "winning tech" that can establish a competitive edge in the market, beyond simply possessing excellent technology.
In his New Year's address on January 5, President Moon stated, "We must establish a stable profit generation system based on a high-profit business portfolio," presenting the construction of a high-profit business portfolio as this year's core management policy. He particularly urged LG Innotek employees to: ▲ establish a stable profit generation system, ▲ secure "winning tech" that can provide a competitive edge in the market, and ▲ evolve work practices based on artificial intelligence transformation (AX).
To this end, President Moon stressed the importance of "selection and concentration," highlighting the need to strategically allocate company-wide resources to enhance competitiveness. He urged, "We must not only strengthen the fundamental business competitiveness of each business unit but also accelerate the development of new businesses to secure solid future growth engines."
He strongly called for the acquisition of "winning tech." He stated, "We need to secure 'winning tech' that can establish a competitive edge in the market, going beyond simply acquiring excellent technology," and emphasized the need to proactively identify technologies aligned with customers' growth strategies and industry structural changes, expanding into businesses that can create high added value.
He also emphasized the company-wide use of artificial intelligence (AI) in work. He said, "We should actively utilize AX to find new ways to perform our tasks, while simultaneously enhancing each individual's capabilities to improve efficiency and expertise. Through AX-based work practices, let's deliver value that exceeds customer expectations."
President Moon told employees, "I hope this year will be one where our collective efforts and passion empower one another," and added, "Let us continue to grow with passion and execution, no matter what changes may come."
