On Monday, January 5th, morning temperatures are expected to drop to around minus 10 degrees Celsius, especially in the inland areas of northern Gyeonggi Province and the inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5 a.m., temperatures in major regions were as follows: Seoul at minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, Incheon at minus 2.5 degrees, Suwon at minus 3.4 degrees, Chuncheon at minus 8.1 degrees, Gangneung at 1.2 degrees, Cheongju at minus 0.5 degrees, Daejeon at minus 1.0 degrees, Jeonju at minus 1.5 degrees, Gwangju at 2.0 degrees, Jeju at 8.4 degrees, Daegu at 2.7 degrees, Busan at 3.5 degrees, Ulsan at 4.1 degrees, and Changwon at 3.2 degrees. The highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 0 to 9 degrees Celsius.
Skies will be mostly clear nationwide, but southern regions are expected to be mostly cloudy until the morning, and Jeju Island will remain mostly cloudy until the afternoon. Rain or snow is expected in some areas of Jeju Island until the morning. The expected precipitation is less than 5 millimeters for Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and around 5 millimeters for Jeju Island. Expected snowfall is 1 to 3 centimeters for Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and 1 to 5 centimeters for the mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels across all regions due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
Waves in the seas are forecast to be 0.5 to 2.5 meters high in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea. In the offshore areas (within approximately 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East and West Seas, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
