LG Electronics has unveiled its 2026 premium TV lineup, introducing a wireless wallpaper OLED TV with a thickness of just 9mm. The company aims to strengthen its competitiveness in the premium TV market by combining ultra-slim design with wireless transmission technology in its latest products.
On January 4 (local time), ahead of the opening of CES 2026, LG Electronics held a pre-showcase event titled "The Preview" for the media at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas, USA, where it revealed its 2026 TV lineup. The event was held under the theme "Where Innovation Begins."
The "LG OLED Evo W6," unveiled at the event, is a wallpaper-style OLED TV that LG Electronics has developed using ultra-slim technology. By integrating the panel, electronic components, and speakers into a single unit, the thickness has been reduced to just 9 millimeters. The TV can be mounted flush against the wall, making it look like a picture frame when the screen is off.
In particular, the TV features technology that wirelessly transmits video and audio signals, eliminating the need for cables connecting the TV to external devices. It supports wireless transmission of 4K resolution video at a 165Hz refresh rate and audio without loss or delay. External devices such as set-top boxes and gaming consoles are connected separately to a "Zero Connect Box."
The Zero Connect Box is 35% smaller than previous wireless TV models, making it easy to place in cabinets or on shelves. By leaving only the TV screen on the wall and installing external devices separately, the living room space can be used more efficiently.
LG Electronics has equipped the 2026 "LG OLED Evo" lineup, including the W6, with its latest AI processor to enhance picture quality. The third-generation Alpha 11 AI processor offers advanced video analysis and upscaling capabilities, delivering clear images even from low-resolution content. It also reduces noise and motion blur during fast scene transitions.
The display brightness has been increased up to 3.9 times compared to standard OLED TVs. An ultra-low-reflection display reduces glare, improving readability even in bright environments. This display has received global certifications for perfect black and perfect color performance.
The lineup also includes features tailored for gaming environments. Graphic synchronization technology and fast response times ensure stable visuals for both console and high-end computer games.
Voice-based search and content recommendation functions are provided, and the TV automatically adjusts picture and sound based on each user's viewing history. Security features have also been enhanced to protect data collected during TV use.
Through the release of these new products, LG Electronics plans to continue its premium TV strategy that combines ultra-slim design, wireless transmission technology, and AI-powered picture quality.
Park Hyungse, President and Head of the MS Business Division at LG Electronics, stated, "With the LG OLED Evo W6 wallpaper TV, which integrates 13 years of accumulated OLED expertise, true wireless transmission technology, and form factor innovation, as well as the further-evolved LG OLED Evo lineup, we will deliver the most innovative viewing experience to customers worldwide."
