Experts Warn: "It's Dangerous to Take It That Way"... Trump’s Excessive Aspirin Use Raises Concerns

325 mg a Day, Four Times the Recommended Dose... Medical Experts Warn of Risks for the Elderly
Bruises Observed... White House Says "Normal Side Effect"

After US President Donald Trump revealed that he has been taking 325 mg of aspirin daily for over 20 years, experts have issued warnings about the potential side effects of long-term high-dose use. In particular, they point out that the risks may be greater for elderly individuals without a history of cardiovascular disease.

According to The New York Times, President Trump, who is currently 79 years old, continues to take a high dose of aspirin for preventive purposes, despite having no history of heart disease or stroke. However, 325 mg is four times the amount of 81 mg, which is the standard dose typically recommended for cardiovascular prevention. Recently, bruises were spotted on his right hand, leading to speculation about his health, but the White House explained that these were normal side effects from taking aspirin.

Medical experts warn that it is dangerous for elderly individuals without a history of cardiovascular disease to take high doses of aspirin as a preventive measure. While aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation to prevent blood clots, long-term use increases the risk of side effects such as bleeding or gastrointestinal problems. The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) have also advised caution regarding this practice.

In an interview, President Trump explained his reason for taking aspirin, saying, "Thanks to aspirin, my blood is thinner and it prevents thick blood from flowing to my heart." He also commented on precision imaging tests, stating, "It would have been better if I hadn't taken the test," suggesting that excessive concern for his health has led to unnecessary worries.

Observers and close aides report that President Trump tries to maintain a vigorous appearance despite sleep deprivation and signs of aging. Aside from golf, his exercise is limited, and his diet is considered to be high in calories and fat. However, Trump expressed confidence in his health, saying, "I inherited good genes."
