The 33rd Taebaeksan Snow Festival is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 8 at Taebaeksan National Park. This year’s festival, under the slogan “2026 REAL Taebaeksan Snow Festival,” will be operated as a stay-type winter festival where both citizens and tourists can participate together.

The official poster, unveiled to the public, features “33rd REAL Taebaeksan Snow Festival” as its main title, intuitively placing the festival’s theme “REAL” to clearly convey its direction and identity. “REAL” stands for: △ REMEMBER ALWAYS-a festival that always remains memorable; △ REPLY ALWAYS-a festival that communicates with citizens; and △ RELAX ALWAYS-a festival where relaxation coexists.

The poster expresses the unique warm and stable atmosphere of the snow festival through a wine-colored winter mountain landscape and lighting effects. It also incorporates Cheonjedan, the Taebaek city mascot “Taeboomi,” and scenes of winter experiences, capturing both the regional characteristics unique to Taebaek and a family-friendly image.

For the first time this year, the Cultural Foundation has also produced an official logo song for the Taebaeksan Snow Festival to increase awareness and familiarity with the event. The logo song features a bright and cheerful melody with concise lyrics, and it will be used in both online and offline promotional content as well as throughout the festival site.

Meanwhile, the 33rd Taebaeksan Snow Festival will offer a variety of programs centered around signature winter attractions such as snow sculpture exhibitions, an ice sledding rink, a snow sledding area, and various performances and experience programs.

A representative from the Taebaek Cultural Foundation stated, “As the 33rd Taebaeksan Snow Festival is the representative winter festival of Taebaek, we are preparing all content and operations to align with the theme ‘REAL.’ We will do our utmost in promotion and preparation to ensure that both citizens and tourists can stay and fully enjoy the festival.”
