SAMSUNG SDS to Build New AI Data Center in Gumi, Investing 427.3 Billion Won in Construction and Facilities

On January 2, 2026, SAMSUNG SDS announced that it will invest 427.3 billion won to build a new AI data center in Gumi.

SAMSUNG SDS stated that it plans to construct the AI data center on the Gumi site acquired from Samsung Electronics around December 2024.

On this day, SAMSUNG SDS held a board meeting and approved these plans.

The investment of 427.3 billion won will be used for the construction of the building and the establishment of facilities.

SAMSUNG SDS added, "Depending on future demand assessments, there may be additional investments, such as further facility expansion, if necessary."
