The Seoul Lantern Festival was originally scheduled to end on the 4th, but after a break on the 5th for exhibition reorganization and reopening preparations, it will resume from the 6th.

The extended section of the festival covers approximately 1.1 kilometers from Cheonggye Plaza to Samilgyo Bridge along Cheonggyecheon. The Uicheon and Ogan Bridge sections of Cheonggyecheon will operate only until the 4th as originally planned. Notably, popular collaborative works such as "I Love Magikarp" by Pokemon Korea, the fire-breathing peacock "Dream's Fluttering Wings," and the moon jar "Hwanwol" made from discarded headlights will be displayed until the 4th. In these areas, a new installation titled "Magical Light Walking Through Seoul" will be exhibited afterward.

The 2025 Seoul Lantern Festival operates daily from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Gil Kiyeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Organization, stated, "Thanks to the strong interest and support from citizens and tourists, we have decided to extend the festival period. We will do our utmost to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors during the extended operation period as well."
