Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital (Director Kim Seongho) held its 2026 New Year's kick-off ceremony at 8 a.m. on January 2 in the Hyangseol Grand Auditorium at the main hospital.
The ceremony was attended by Director Kim Seongho, Central Medical Center Director Lee Jeongjae, key executives, and staff members of Gumi Hospital.
Lee Jeongjae, who assumed the position of Central Medical Center Director on January 1, 2026, attended the Gumi Hospital kick-off ceremony as his first official event.
The event proceeded in the following order: national pledge, a review of Gumi Hospital's 2025 news highlights, commendations for exemplary and courteous staff, the New Year's address, a New Year's greeting ceremony among staff, and a commemorative photo session. Executives and staff exchanged New Year's greetings and well-wishes during the ceremony.
In his New Year's address, Director Kim Seongho stated, "The past year has been a time for our hospital to lay the foundation for further progress. As we welcome 2026, the Year of the Byeongo, let us continue to pursue change and innovation, and work together in unity to drive the hospital's development."
Director Lee Jeongjae remarked, "Gumi Hospital has consistently improved its medical environment through projects such as the completion of the outpatient building and the remodeling of the main building. With the introduction of state-of-the-art MRI equipment and further enhancements to our medical infrastructure this year, I look forward to Gumi Hospital growing as a more trusted and competitive hospital in the region."
