The Jeonju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) began its first official work of the New Year of the Bing-O Year 2026 by visiting the National Imsil Memorial Cemetery to pay tribute to the spirits of the patriotic martyrs and national heroes.
According to the Agency on January 2, the memorial ceremony was attended by more than 30 executives and staff members, including Director Heo Jeon. The participants honored the noble spirit of sacrifice of the patriots who dedicated themselves to the nation through the laying of flowers, incense offerings, and a moment of silence, thereby strengthening their sense of social responsibility as an institution funded by Jeonju City.
Since 2023, the Agency has signed an agreement with the cemetery for the “One Organization, One National Cemetery Section” initiative, regularly conducting memorial services and volunteer activities such as environmental maintenance. With this visit, the Agency plans to further promote the values of patriotism and national merit within the organization and focus its administrative capabilities on regional development and the realization of public interest values.
Heo Jeon, Director of the Jeonju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, emphasized, “Today’s regional development was only made possible by the sacrifices of the national heroes. I will keep their noble intentions close to my heart and do my utmost to fulfill our responsible role for the local economy and the residents.”
