The Chuncheon City Hall curling team (Coach Lee Seungjun, Skip Ha Seungyeon) reached the top by defeating the Gyeonggi Provincial Government team in the final of the 2025-2026 Curling Super League, held at Uijeongbu Curling Stadium on January 1. This tournament, which began in November of last year and ran for seven weeks, features the nation’s top men’s and women’s curling teams competing in regular rounds, with the champion determined through the playoffs. Chuncheon City Hall finished second in the regular rounds and secured a playoff victory against the Jeonbuk Provincial Government team on December 31.
Previously, the Chuncheon City Hall curling team also defeated the Gangneung City Hall team in the provincial representative selection for the National Winter Sports Festival held last month. As a result, they will represent the province at the 107th National Winter Sports Festival scheduled for next month.
A Chuncheon City Hall official stated, “This Super League victory is a valuable achievement resulting from the team’s consistent training, strong organization, and focus,” adding, “We will continue to provide support so that the team can maintain this momentum throughout the rest of the season and at the National Winter Sports Festival.”
