The ceremony, attended by over 300 executives and employees including Acting CEO Choi Cheolgyu, began with a commemorative video, followed by a retirement ceremony for those reaching retirement age, end-of-year awards, and the Acting CEO's New Year's address.
In his New Year's address, Acting CEO Choi stated, "If last year was the year we established Kangwon Land's 100-year future vision, this year is when we must put that vision into action and deliver results." He then presented three key tasks to focus on throughout the year.
First, he called for making 2026 the "first year of casino regulatory reform," urging everyone to devote their full efforts to improving systems in line with global standards.
He emphasized that, as the first phase of the 'K-HIT Master Plan' enters full swing, it is essential to resolve key regulatory easing tasks through cooperation and institutional improvements, thereby laying the foundation for Kangwon Land to become a world-class global well-portainment resort.
Next, he identified the establishment of a safety management system aimed at "zero serious accidents" throughout all business operations as the second key task. Acting CEO Choi stressed, "Achievements without safety are meaningless," and called for rigorous safety management and site-centered inspections at every stage, from planning and design to construction and operation.
Finally, as a public enterprise with social responsibility, he emphasized the importance of not missing the "golden time" for the sustainable development of coal industry transition regions and opening a sustainable future.
He mentioned recent efforts to enhance regional value, such as renaming the area as a "coal industry transition region" and designating "Miners' Day," and stated that Kangwon Land, as a public enterprise, should take the lead with "M650" to expand future value and seek new breakthroughs for regional development.

Acting CEO Choi said, "If the vision we presented last year was a single point, this year is the process of connecting those points into a line," and added, "Let us continue to advance energetically this year with the spirit of 'a running horse never stops its hooves' (mabujeongje)."
Meanwhile, last year Kangwon Land officially announced the "K-HIT Master Plan," a comprehensive development strategy worth approximately 3 trillion won, and has continued its efforts to promote regional economic growth and the national tourism industry.
