Real-Time Guidance on Emergency Care and Hospital Information
The Jeongeup Fire Station in North Jeolla Province has launched an initiative to promote the use of the "Jeonbuk 119 Counseling Talk" service, which allows any resident to receive emergency and medical consultations via KakaoTalk.
According to the Jeongeup Fire Station on January 2, "Jeonbuk 119 Counseling Talk" provides essential non-face-to-face consultation functions, including emergency care guidance, hospital and pharmacy information, and support in selecting a hospital.
During its pilot operation, the service handled 61 consultations, demonstrating its stability. The platform is designed to be easily accessible not only to socially vulnerable groups, such as individuals with hearing or speech impairments, but also to any resident in need of emergency information. After launching KakaoTalk, users can simply type "Jeonbuk 119 Counseling Talk" into the search bar, add it as a friend, and immediately begin a consultation.
The North Jeolla Fire Headquarters plans to analyze the accumulated consultation data since the service launch and incorporate frequently asked questions into an automated response system. The quality of consultations will also be regularly reviewed to further enhance the customized emergency consultation system.
An official from the Jeongeup Fire Station stated, "'Jeonbuk 119 Counseling Talk' has been instrumental in securing the golden hour by providing prompt information even during medical service gaps. I hope Jeongeup citizens will also sign up for the service and be thoroughly prepared for emergencies in their daily lives."
