Younggu Kang, Chairman of the Korea Fire Insurance Association, Announces Vision in New Year's Address on January 2
Younggu Kang, Chairman of the Korea Fire Insurance Association, expressed his ambition in a New Year's address on January 2 to accelerate customer-centric management and realize the vision of becoming a global comprehensive risk management institution.
Chairman Kang stated, "Last year, the Korea Fire Insurance Association initiated a paradigm shift toward customer-centric management, advanced inspection work by introducing the Relative Risk Index and establishing the BRIDGE-linked inspection program, and reinforced the social safety net for fire-vulnerable groups by presenting a cooperative model of finance and insurance called 'Fire Safety Insurance' through safety culture campaigns."
He also mentioned, "The association's revenue last year reached 66.5 billion won, the highest ever, and we secured future growth engines through remarkable growth in consulting, testing, and research sectors."
Chairman Kang announced this year's key tasks as follows: securing risk management capabilities at a global leader level; building a customer-centric comprehensive risk management platform ecosystem; continuing efforts to improve financial independence; and establishing an organizational culture focused on innovation and communication.
He concluded, "All of our executives and employees have led a paradigm shift by redefining the association's role and direction despite numerous challenges," adding, "We must approach our work with the mindset of always being prepared, just as in the spirit of 'Jimgodaedan'-waiting for the morning with weapons at our pillow."
