Yeungjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) announced on January 2 that it will recruit 271 students, accounting for 11.06% of the total 2,450 available spots, in the regular admissions for the 2026 academic year, which will be held until January 14.
The number of students to be selected under each regular admission category is as follows: 71 through the academic record-only track, 69 through the general track that considers both CSAT and academic records, 83 through the lifelong learner track, and 48 through the university’s own track.
For special admission categories, 30 students will be selected through the rural area track and 45 through the basic livelihood security recipient track. The tracks for adult learners and employed applicants, as well as university graduates, have no set quota. However, some healthcare-related departments have restrictions on the number of students they can admit.
By department, the AI Computer Security Department in the general track has the largest quota with 24 students. Other departments will select between 1 and 10 students each through the regular admissions process.
For the 2026 academic year, two new departments will be established to meet the needs of industry and society. The newly established AI Computer Security Department (two-year program) will train practical experts specializing in security and IT networks to address the rapidly growing demand for cybersecurity professionals. In addition, the new Sports Management Department within the Business and Accounting Convergence Division aims to foster convergent talents who can both specialize in sports such as pickleball and develop capabilities in sports management and administration.
Applications for regular admissions can be submitted via the university website and online application systems such as Jinhak Apply, as well as in person at the university.
Yeungjin College operates various scholarship programs to reduce the financial burden of tuition for new students. For the first round of successful applicants within the quota, 50% of the first semester tuition will be waived, while additional successful applicants will receive a scholarship of 1 million won. For special admission categories, the first round of successful applicants will receive a 900,000 won waiver, and additional successful applicants will receive a 500,000 won waiver.
Students admitted through the recommendation of a specialized high school principal will have 100% of their first semester tuition covered. In addition, adult learners aged 35 or older admitted through the lifelong learner or university’s own track will receive an 80% tuition waiver for the first semester and a 50% waiver for subsequent semesters, actively supporting adult learners in resuming their studies.
Yeungjin College has set a new standard for vocational college education through educational innovation centered on digital technologies and Korea’s first customized education system. It is the only vocational college to have simultaneously achieved the titles of “Korea’s Most Admired Vocational College” and “Nationwide No. 1 in Employment Rate,” proving itself as the country’s top specialized vocational education institution.
Yeungjin College is the only institution to have ranked first among vocational colleges for 14 consecutive years in the Korea Management Association Consulting’s “2025 Korea’s Most Admired Companies” survey. It has demonstrated the dignity of a true “national representative vocational college” by fulfilling educational innovation, employment competitiveness, and social responsibility.
The college also continues to achieve the highest employment rate nationwide. According to the 2024 Ministry of Education information disclosure, Yeungjin’s employment rate is 79.2%, ranking first among universities with more than 3,000 graduates annually.
Its record of employment at major corporations is at a national level. Over the past six years, 240 graduates joined Samsung, 380 joined LG, 325 joined SK, 91 joined Hanwha, 67 joined POSCO, 73 joined Hyundai, 48 joined Shinsegae, and 48 joined Lotte, for a total of 2,168 graduates entering major Korean conglomerates, demonstrating top-tier employment competitiveness among vocational colleges.
Its overseas employment achievements are even more impressive. Yeungjin College ranked first nationwide in overseas employment among all two- and four-year colleges, producing 866 overseas-employed graduates over the past nine years. With a high proportion of employment at global companies such as SoftBank, Rakuten, and Yahoo Japan, the college is recognized as a vocational education model with international competitiveness.
President Choi Jaeyoung stated, "Yeungjin College has continuously expanded cooperation with companies and organizations based on customized education and has advanced its curriculum with a focus on new industries and practical skills for society. We will continue to uphold the core values of vocational education and do our utmost to nurture global professional talents who will lead the industries of the future."
