"Will Smith Sued by Male Tour Musician for Sexual Harassment and Wrongful Dismissal"

Evidence of Unauthorized Entry into Tour Musician's Hotel Room
Agency Also Named as Defendant in Lawsuit
Wife Pinkett Smith Recently Involved in Controversy

Will Smith, a top Hollywood actor and singer, has been sued in a civil lawsuit by former violinist Brian King Joseph, who participated in Smith's tour, alleging sexual harassment, wrongful dismissal, and retaliation. Joseph claims that after joining Smith's global tour, "Based on a True Story: 2025," last year, he suffered emotional distress and career loss due to a series of incidents. On January 2, Yonhap News, citing U.S. entertainment media outlets such as People and USA Today, reported that violinist Brian King Joseph recently filed a lawsuit against Smith and his agency, Treboul Studio Management, in the Los Angeles County Court in California, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal.

In the complaint, Joseph claims that during the Las Vegas leg of the tour in March 2025, he discovered evidence that someone had entered his hotel room without permission. Inside his room, he reportedly found a note that read, "Brian, I'll be back... just us," accompanied by a heart drawing, a memo signed "Stone F," a beer bottle, an HIV medication bottle with someone else's name, hospital discharge papers, and an earring.

Joseph asserts that he reported the incident to hotel staff, local police, and Smith's management team, but instead of receiving support, he was rebuked and dismissed from the tour a few days later. Joseph's attorney stated that Smith had attempted to establish a physically and emotionally intimate relationship with Joseph from the outset, describing Smith's actions as psychological manipulation techniques such as "grooming" and "priming." Previously, Joseph also claimed that Smith emphasized a personal bond between them, often saying, "You and I have a special connection that no one else has." Furthermore, Joseph is known as a talented musician who reached the finals of the American audition program "America's Got Talent" in 2018.

This civil lawsuit has been filed with the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, California. No official statement has yet been released by Smith or his agency. Meanwhile, controversy continues to surround the Smith family, as Smith's former close associate Bilal Salaam previously filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 3 million dollars (about 4.3 billion won) in damages, alleging verbal abuse by Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
