Paying Respects at Daejeon National Cemetery on the First Day of the New Year
Honoring the Will of Patriotic Martyrs and Fallen Heroes at Daejeon Patriots Park and Daejeon National Cemetery
Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo wrote in the guestbook at the Daejeon National Cemetery, "I will carry on the noble will of our patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes, and dedicate myself to the development of the Republic of Korea and the prosperity of Daejeon and the Chungcheong region."
On January 2, the first workday of the new year, Byeongo Year, Mayor Lee, accompanied by about 50 senior city officials, heads of public corporations, and representatives of affiliated organizations, visited the Daejeon Patriots Park and the Daejeon National Cemetery to pay their respects.
Through the laying of flowers and incense offerings, Mayor Lee honored the noble sacrifice and dedication of the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes, and pledged a dynamic leap forward for Daejeon together with its citizens.
