At the "2026 Securities and Derivatives Market Opening Ceremony" held at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul, dignitaries including Lee Eogwon, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, Lee Chanjin, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, and Jung Eunbo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, announced the opening of this year's market in front of the KOSPI market board. As of 10:12 a.m. on this day, the KOSPI stood at 4,235.57, up 21.40 points (0.51%) from the previous trading day.
