Last Year Marked as the "First Year of Strengthening Safety Capabilities"
This Year’s Goal: A "Journey Together" with Partner Companies
Sampyo Group evaluated that last year it laid the foundation for systematic safety management through on-site leadership by its management and the advancement of its systems. This year, the company aims to expand and apply its strengthened safety culture to its partner companies, establishing a system at the same level as its headquarters.

On January 2, Sampyo Group explained that it had designated the past year as the "first year of strengthening safety capabilities" and focused on field-oriented practical activities. In particular, the company concentrated on the "Management Safety Observation Activity (VFL)," in which executives directly identify potential risks at worksites and lead improvements.
VFL goes beyond simple site visits; it is an activity where leaders communicate with workers to instill a safety culture. Subsidiary CEOs and division heads visit business sites, diagnose risk factors through one-on-one coaching, and derive practical solutions.
The establishment of the occupational safety and health management system and the advancement of risk assessment are also cited as notable achievements. Last year, Sampyo Group redefined its company-wide safety and health manuals and guidelines to align with global standards. Through this, the company ensured that the same advanced safety system was applied across all business divisions and sites.
In addition, the "Safety Subcommittee" activities made a significant contribution to establishing a self-disciplined prevention system. The Safety Subcommittee is a small group led by on-site workers, playing a proactive role in identifying and improving hazardous and risky factors in the workplace.
"Regional Safety Sessions" were also held to enhance the practical capabilities of on-site safety managers. Divided by region-such as the Seoul metropolitan area, Gyeongsang region, and Chungcheong-Jeolla region-these sessions were conducted in the first and second halves of the year and combined theoretical education, on-site visits, and the sharing of best practices for an efficient schedule.
In particular, by strengthening human networking between regions, creating synergy in work, and increasing on-site responsiveness through accident case analysis and practical exercises, the company is credited with helping to establish a self-directed safety culture.
This year, Sampyo Group has set a goal to expand the scope of its safety culture to partner companies, moving forward with a "journey together." At the recently held 2025 fourth-quarter executive safety session, Sampyo Group confirmed next year’s slogan as "Safety Together, A Valuable Journey Together."
The company plans to expand the proven executive-led safety activity model to its partners, and through joint inspections and technical support, raise the safety capabilities of partner companies to the level of the headquarters.
A Sampyo Group representative said, "Last year was a meaningful time in laying the cornerstone for 'safety management' through management’s leadership by example and the establishment of systematic systems," adding, "This year, we will focus all our efforts on realizing true 'safety together' so that this solid system is elevated into a corporate culture for the entire group, including our partners."
