Since opening the Olympic-daero Digital Zone, which consists of six large digital billboards, in July last year, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art has introduced its campaign, "Here and Now, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art," and seasonally themed collection pieces through a partnership with the Korea Local Finance Association. The "Museum on the Road" project, which expands everyday spaces into exhibition venues, offers an opportunity for approximately 240,000 drivers passing through this heavily congested section each day to enjoy art in their daily lives instead of boredom.

To celebrate the New Year, starting January 2, six masterpieces featuring warm colors-selected from major works on display at the Seoul and Gwacheon branches-will be presented under the theme "Warmth Delivered Through Art on Cold Winter Streets." These works aim to provide comfort and a sense of coziness to citizens during the winter season.

The featured works include "Mountain" by Yoo Youngkuk, a pioneer of Korean abstract art; "Bird and Family" by Chang Ucchin, which expresses affection for family; "Peonies at Hwahyeongjeon" by Na Hye-seok, Korea's first female Western-style painter; as well as "Spring Landscape" by Oh Jiho, "Scarecrow and Desert" by Lee Bongsang, and "T Composition" by Han Mook. The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art plans to continue showcasing a variety of contemporary art content, including major exhibitions, following this release of painting masterpieces.

Kim Sunghee, Director of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, stated, "We hope that these masterpieces of modern and contemporary painting encountered on the road during the cold winter will bring a bit of comfort and warmth to the weary daily lives of the public."
