The "Orae Ieum Store" project will also be launched to discover and support small business owners who have served the community for many years. Additionally, a new tourist attraction, the "Itaewon Observatory," will be created.
In the Safety & Urban Affairs category, the district will implement seasonal safety measures such as expanding road heating systems to prepare for snow, providing cooling and heating shelters for heat waves and cold spells, and offering free bottled water at Yongsan Springs. Starting in March, the district will also strengthen protection systems for vulnerable groups by utilizing AI-powered rapid search in closed-circuit (CC) TV monitoring. Major development projects will also move forward, including the creation of the Yongsan International Business District, transforming the Yongsan Electronics Market area into a new industry hub, and the Hannam Redevelopment Promotion Project. Detailed information can be found in the Nuri Magazine format on the district website under "About Yongsan → District Administration Promotion."
