Renault’s Proprietary EV Subsidy Continues
Exclusive Special Installment Plans Available
Renault Korea has lowered the barriers to purchasing all vehicle models for the new year by offering its own subsidies and financial benefits.
Renault Korea, led by CEO Nicolas Paris, is expanding benefits for customers purchasing vehicles in the first month of 2026 by introducing a variety of new installment plans for major models and continuing its proprietary electric vehicle subsidy support.
The midsize SUV, Grand Koleos, offers a 3.3% interest rate for a three-year installment plan when purchased in January.
Even if the installment period is extended to a maximum of five years, the interest rate remains at 3.9%. General customers can also receive special benefits of 1.9 million won for purchasing the gasoline model and 900,000 won for the hybrid E-Tech model.
In addition, depending on the vehicle’s production month, customers can receive an extra benefit ranging from 200,000 to 1.5 million won, and loyalty customers (those who have repurchased at least once or currently own a Renault vehicle) are eligible for an additional special benefit of 500,000 won (note: some benefits are excluded for the Techno trim). As a result, the maximum benefit for the Grand Koleos in January, for the gasoline model, is 4.2 million won.
The coupe-style SUV, Arkana, has introduced a new fixed-rate installment plan with an interest rate in the 1% range.
For the Arkana 1.6 GTe model, customers can take advantage of a 1.99% installment plan for up to three years. Additionally, when purchasing the gasoline or hybrid E-Tech models, customers who use either the standard installment plan or the residual value guaranteed SMART installment plan will receive a special benefit of 500,000 won (applicable for installment periods of 24 months or more and principal amounts of at least 15 million won). Including additional benefits based on the production month, which range from 300,000 to 1.5 million won, and special loyalty customer benefits, the maximum benefit for January is 2.7 million won (note: some benefits are excluded for the Techno trim).
Renault Korea’s proprietary electric vehicle subsidy support for customers purchasing the Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric (hereafter Scenic E-Tech), a compact electric SUV, will continue in January following strong customer response at the end of last year.
Renault Korea has decided to provide a temporary proprietary subsidy for certain quantities so that customers can purchase electric vehicles without financial burden even at the end or beginning of the year, when government EV subsidies are either exhausted or not yet confirmed.
The proprietary subsidy for Scenic E-Tech customers is set at 8 million won, which is the national average of the total government and local subsidies previously available to customers based on their region of residence.
In addition, customers may receive special additional support benefits, and instead of receiving the proprietary subsidy, they can choose from a variety of special installment plans, including a six-year zero-interest fixed-rate plan.
The Scenic E-Tech, produced in France and imported for sale in the domestic market, features LG Energy Solution’s 87kWh high-performance NCM battery, enabling a maximum range of 460km under Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy certification standards.
It boasts an elegant design, premium features, and the most spacious interior in its class. It is also equipped with the patented 'Fireman Access' technology for battery fire response, further enhancing safety. The Scenic E-Tech was named 'European Car of the Year' in 2024 and was also recognized as the 'Car of the Month for September' by the Korea Automobile Journalists Association last year, proving its product value in the domestic market.
