Urban Outlet and Fashion Divisions Assigned to Distribution BG
Hypermarket and E-Land Eats Dining Businesses to Be Managed by Food BG
On January 2, E-Land Group announced that it will introduce a Business Group (BG) management system into its distribution and dining business sectors.
Accordingly, the previously integrated distribution business division will now be separated into "Distribution BG" and "Food BG," each covering distinct business areas.
Sungwon Chae, newly appointed as CEO of Distribution BG, will oversee urban outlet operations (including NC, NewCore, Donga, and 2001 Outlet) as well as the overall distribution fashion brands. CEO Chae previously served in E-Land Retail's Strategic Planning Office and as CEO of the group's distribution subsidiary in China.
Going forward, Distribution BG plans to reorganize the competitiveness of domestic urban distribution and respond swiftly to changing consumer trends. Jo Ilseong will continue in his role as CEO in charge of safety management, focusing on strengthening compliance management and the safety management system.
Sungyun Hwang will serve as CEO of Food BG, overseeing both the distribution hypermarket segment (Kim's Club, Farm & Food) and the E-Land Eats dining business division.
Food BG will focus on enhancing product competitiveness and operational efficiency, leveraging synergies between distribution and dining. The dining business included in Food BG will be managed by E-Land Eats, and each subsidiary will maintain its independent corporate structure and responsible management system.
An E-Land Group representative stated, "The appointment of the new CEOs and the transition to the BG system are part of structural improvements to address the challenges facing offline distribution," adding, "We will strengthen expertise in each business area to build sustainable competitiveness."
