The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education 4·16 Life Safety Education Center will hold the memorial exhibition "Offering Flowers 2" to mark the 12th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education 4·16 Life Safety Education Center announced that from the 2nd to the 30th of this month, more than 10 works by Jeong Pyeonghan, a teacher at Segyero International Middle and High School, will be exhibited on the first floor of the Mirae Hope Hall at the Ansan Education Center in Gyeonggi Province. The works were created using oil pastels and acrylic paints on blackboards.
This exhibition expresses human history, celebrating joy with flowers and remembering death with flowers.

Through the symbolism that flowers have always been with our lives, the exhibition conveys the message of not forgetting and remembering the students and staff who were lost in the Sewol Ferry disaster.
The exhibition is open to visitors on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on weekends and public holidays.
Jeon Myeongseon, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education 4·16 Life Safety Education Center, stated, "On the 12th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster, we will make greater efforts to spread the meaning of respect for life and community recovery by expressing the memory of this social disaster through artistic forms."
