LG Electronics is set to debut the LG Gram Pro AI 2026 (model numbers: 16Z90U/16Z95U) for the first time at CES 2026, the world's largest exhibition for home appliances and information technology, which will open on January 6 (local time) in Las Vegas, United States.
Starting January 6, LG Electronics will sequentially launch a lineup of seven new 2026 models in South Korea, beginning with LGE.com. The lineup includes the LG Gram Pro AI (17-inch/16-inch), LG Gram Pro 360 AI (16-inch), LG Gram AI (15-inch/14-inch), and LG Gram Book AI (16-inch/15-inch).
According to LG Electronics, the new products are highly durable and maintain portability as ultra-lightweight laptops.
In particular, the new models are equipped with 'Exaone 3.5,' a large language model (LLM) independently developed by the LG AI Research Institute, enabling a variety of on-device AI features such as document summarization, search, and translation. The 'Multi AI' feature, which supports all Copilot Plus PC functions, provides a differentiated AI customer experience.
Additionally, the 2026 LG Gram strengthens its identity as an 'ultra-lightweight laptop' by applying 'Aerominium,' a new material primarily used in the aerospace industry. Aerominium is an alloy of magnesium and aluminum, combining the advantages of both metals to achieve light weight and outstanding durability. In the case of the 16-inch Gram Pro, LG Electronics applied its 'lightweight design engineering method' to incorporate Aerominium, resulting in a body weight of only 1,199 grams. Durability has been enhanced, with scratch resistance improved by more than 35%, while maintaining its lightweight design. The unique metallic finish of Aerominium also gives the exterior a premium look.
The 2026 LG Gram also offers a multi-AI solution that can be freely utilized according to the user's environment, patterns, and needs. The on-device AI feature 'Gram Chat On-Device,' upgraded based on Exaone 3.5, allows for even more convenient use of various AI functions without the need for a network connection. The 'My Archive' feature is a prime example, enabling users to create a database from files stored on their PC and perform searches and responses based on this data. It first searches and summarizes files within user-designated folders and provides answers by understanding the meaning and context of questions, making it easy to handle personalized tasks. The 'Time Travel' feature adds convenience by locating the user's PC work history or restoring accidentally deleted data. With the built-in Microsoft Copilot Plus PC, users can also conveniently access features such as real-time video translation subtitles and AI image generation.

Connectivity and security have also been further enhanced. 'Gram Link,' which last year improved usability by connecting mobile devices regardless of OS, including iOS and Android, has now expanded its scope to Web OS. This enables wireless file sharing, photo transfers, and screen extension for meetings using TVs, smart monitors, and projectors. All devices equipped with Web OS26, including the 2026 LG TV and upgraded existing TVs, can be connected.
The newly added 'Secure Lock' feature allows users to remotely manage and protect sensitive personal data in the event the laptop is lost or stolen. It goes beyond simply locking the laptop, enabling the user to disable the system and even reset the operating system to ensure personal data remains safe.
The 2026 LG Gram also offers greater choice for customers. Users can select products equipped with the latest AI CPUs, either Intel (16Z90U-K, Intel Core Ultra processor) or AMD (16Z95U, Ryzen AI 400 series processor), according to their needs and intended use.
The 16-inch LG Gram Pro is equipped with a 77Wh battery, allowing up to 27 hours of use (based on LG Electronics' own video playback test) without additional charging. Fast charging is also supported, providing over 9 hours of use with just a 30-minute charge. The laptop has passed seven categories of the U.S. Department of Defense reliability test, commonly known as 'mil-spec' (shock, dust, high temperature, low temperature, vibration, salt fog, and low pressure).
Lee Choonghwan, Executive Vice President and Head of the Display Business Division at LG Electronics, stated, "The 2026 LG Gram will set a new standard for AI PCs, enhancing its ultra-lightweight identity by applying a high-strength metal material for the first time while providing an even more advanced AI experience."
