Jindo County Recognized as Outstanding in Three Regional Economy Evaluations

Achievements in Consumption Coupon Distribution and Price Stabilization

Jindo County in South Jeolla Province has been recognized for its achievements in economic policies closely related to the daily lives of residents, being selected as an outstanding institution in three categories of regional economy evaluations.


The county announced that it achieved excellent results in three regional economy-related evaluations, including the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Execution Outstanding Local Government Evaluation, securing a special grant of 170 million won and a prize of 2 million won.


First, the county was selected as an outstanding local government in the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Execution Outstanding Local Government Evaluation organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 150 million won. The county received high marks for swiftly distributing consumption coupons and proactively expanding the number of affiliated merchants for the local love gift certificates, making it more convenient for residents to use them.


In particular, the county's on-site, resident-focused administration was recognized as a best practice, as it operated a village-by-village application and distribution service, ensuring that residents with mobility difficulties could receive support without inconvenience.


Additionally, the county was selected as an outstanding local government in the Local Price Stabilization Management Evaluation, also organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing an additional special grant of 20 million won. The county's policies to ease the cost of living for residents, such as freezing local public utility rates, managing personal service fees, stabilizing agricultural and livestock product prices, and promoting the use of good price businesses, were evaluated as having produced tangible results.


Furthermore, in the 2025 Regional Economy Vitalization Evaluation organized by South Jeolla Province, the county received an encouragement award and a prize of 2 million won in recognition of its achievements in price stabilization management and support for small business owners.


A county official stated, "These achievements are the result of consistently pursuing economic policies that provide practical help to the lives of our residents," adding, "We will continue to promote livelihood-focused economic policies that revitalize local businesses and support the daily lives of our residents."
