Successful Candidates for Local Talent Grade 9, Technical Positions, and Military Officials
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on December 31 that 70 students from vocational high schools in the province have passed the 2025 civil servant and military official recruitment exams.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, the successful candidates include 27 probationary employees for the national level Grade 9 civil service positions for local talent, 32 technical positions (facilities, engineering, agriculture, etc.) at the provincial and city/county offices, 3 technical positions (facilities, cooking) at the provincial office of education, 5 military officials, and 3 Korea Coast Guard officers. This marks a significant increase from last year's 54 successful candidates, highlighting the growing success of vocational high schools in Jeonnam in advancing into public service positions.
By school, Mokpo Technical High School produced the highest number of successful candidates, with 11 students passing (9 civil servants and 2 military officials), followed by Suncheon Cheongam High School with 8, Yeosu Information Science High School with 7, and both Wando Fisheries High School and Suncheon Technical High School with 5 each.
To enhance the employment competitiveness of vocational high school students, the provincial office has implemented a variety of support policies, including employment competency enhancement programs, specialized major clubs, public service career fairs, customized interview consulting, and the provision of exam information through employment support centers.
The successful students strengthened both their written exam preparation and practical skills through after-school classes and major certification courses run by their schools. It is analyzed that, with systematic support from both the education office and the schools, they actively utilized the high school graduate civil servant and military official recruitment system.
Kim Yegon (Mokpo Technical High School), one of the successful candidates, said, "The school's full support and the teachers' meticulous guidance were a great help," adding, "I will become an upright public servant who contributes to regional development."
Jeon Seonga, Head of Career Education, stated, "I would like to express my gratitude and congratulations to the students who overcame the challenging exams and to their guiding teachers," and added, "We will continue to provide full support so that vocational high school students can grow into talents who will lead the future of Jeonnam."
