On December 31, the Gyeongju City Council (Chairman Lee Donghyeop) held the 2025 year-end ceremony in the council's small conference room, officially concluding its legislative activities for the year.
The event was attended by council members and staff of the council secretariat, who reflected on the achievements of the past year and pledged a new leap forward for 2026.
The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of appointment letters to those promoted, commendations for council members and staff who contributed to legislative activities and the development of the council, and the screening of a promotional video highlighting the major activities of the 9th Gyeongju City Council in 2025.
In his year-end address, Chairman Lee Donghyeop stated, "In 2025, we focused all our capabilities and dedication on the major goal of successfully hosting the APEC Summit. It was a time of sincere legislative work, constantly listening to even the smallest voices of citizens on site and striving to connect them to systems and policies."
Chairman Lee also expressed his deep gratitude to his fellow council members for their professional legislative work and to the staff of the secretariat for their steadfast support. He called on everyone to unite their efforts once again in 2026 for the continued development of Gyeongju and the happiness of its citizens.
