The opening ceremony was attended by Choi Byeong-gap, Deputy Mayor of Paju City, Park Dae-seong, Chairman of the Paju City Council, Kim Young-tae, Chairman of Donghaeng Yeonwoohoe (the corporation operating the Paju Senior Club under consignment), heads of related local organizations, Senior Club officials, project participants, and many others. The event began with a progress report on the project, followed by a tour of the facility and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, providing an opportunity to share the significance of the project's launch.

"Youth Chan Chan Chan Branch No. 2" is being promoted as part of the "2025 Community Project Group Infrastructure Support" contest project led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Only six local governments nationwide, including Paju City, were ultimately selected for this initiative.

Through this selection, Paju City and the Paju Senior Club secured a total of 150 million won in full national funding. This funding was used not only to renovate the project site but also to purchase vehicles for cooking and delivery, as well as various equipment, thereby establishing the infrastructure necessary for stable project operations.

With the opening of Branch No. 2, Paju City has established a more comprehensive care system than before and can now provide regular meal box support services to 100 low-income elderly households in the northern region. In particular, the entire process of cooking, packaging, and delivering the meal boxes will involve direct participation by seniors, realizing a virtuous cycle welfare model that both cares for vulnerable groups and creates sustainable jobs for the elderly.

Paju City plans to continue expanding customized welfare services focused on vulnerable groups, strengthen the local care system tailored to regional needs, and implement welfare policies that citizens can experience in their daily lives.
