Geumsan County has enhanced visitor convenience and created a more pleasant shopping environment by improving the facilities at the Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Traditional Market, the central hub of the local commercial district.
For this round of facility improvements, the county invested a total of 185 million won to complete the following: replacement of roof panels at the Geumsan Fresh Ginseng Center, installation of new LED lighting at the Geumsan Herbal Medicine Market, and renovations of the public restrooms at the Geumsan Ginseng Shopping Center.
The Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Traditional Market is a tourism-oriented traditional market that represents the region. Through these facility upgrades, the market can now provide a cleaner and more convenient environment for tourists visiting the area.
In particular, the renovation of the public restrooms at the Geumsan Ginseng Shopping Center included upgrades to the interior facilities and finishing materials, as well as improvements to the flow of movement for users, thereby enhancing both comfort and convenience.
Yoon Soyeon, an official in charge of ginseng and herbal medicine policy, stated, "The Ginseng and Herbal Medicine Traditional Market serves as the central hub of the local commercial district," adding, "We will continue to promote support projects for traditional markets that are closely connected to daily life, so that users can truly feel the benefits."
