Youngchan Kim, Chairman of Golfzon Group, announced on December 30 that he has accumulated 45 million won in the "Birdie Fund" and donated it to the Yuwon Golf Foundation.

Chairman Kim has been accumulating the Birdie Fund with his family each time they record a birdie or better, or achieve an age shooter in golf throughout the year. An age shooter refers to scoring lower than one's age in an 18-hole round. Chairman Kim has been donating the Birdie Fund since 2020, with total donations reaching 300 million won.

This year, through the donation, the Yuwon Golf Foundation expanded the number of "Hope Tree" scholarship recipients-who receive an annual support of 12 million won as promising golf talents-to four. For the 2026 Hope Tree Scholarship, the selected recipients are Seoah Kim, Haeun Jang, Juwon Kang, and Taewoong Yoon.

Chairman Kim stated, "I decided to make this donation in the hope that talented young golfers will have more opportunities to grow. I hope it will be used meaningfully for aspiring golf players, and I will continue to provide ongoing support so that promising talents facing difficult circumstances never have to give up on their dreams."

The Yuwon Golf Foundation, established in 2015 with Chairman Kim's personal funds, operates various support programs, including scholarships for outstanding youth golfers, scholarships for aspiring golf players, and support to expand international amateur tournament experience.
