This agreement aims to introduce a community-based, prevention- and health management-focused healthcare service to Champions City, a mixed-use development project that WooMi Construction is pursuing in the Im-dong area of Buk-gu, Gwangju.
In response to the growing demand for health management due to an aging population, WooMi Construction is reviewing plans to implement prevention- and health management-focused healthcare services at Champions City. The company is designing a model that will be available not only to residents but also to people living in nearby communities.
Jeonnam National University Hospital, as a regional public medical institution, will provide consultation on the form and operational direction of the healthcare service.
Champions City is a mixed-use development project led by Champions City Mixed-Use Development PFV, in which WooMi Construction and Shinyoung are shareholders. The project is being developed on approximately 297,500 square meters of the former Jeonbang and Ilsin Textile sites in Im-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju.
The project will feature a residential complex with 4,315 households, the large-scale shopping mall "The Hyundai Gwangju," a luxury hotel, office facilities, a hospital, and a historical park. The "15-minute city" concept has been applied, arranging residential, commercial, business, and cultural functions within walking distance.
