Silla University to Operate One-Month Capacity Building Training for Mongolian National Police Agency

Sharing Korea's Advanced Policing and Cybercrime Response Expertise
Expanding International Cooperation in Police Education

Silla University is partnering with the Mongolian National Police Agency to advance international cooperation in police education.

Silla University (President Heo Namsik) announced on the 29th that it will operate the "Capacity Building Training Program for the Mongolian National Police Agency" for one month, targeting police officers from the Mongolian National Police Agency.

On the 23rd, Silla University held a training entrance ceremony on campus, attended by 10 police officers from the Mongolian National Police Agency, officially launching the training program. University officials, training program staff, and trainees from the Mongolian National Police Agency attended the ceremony to share the objectives and direction of the program and pledged to ensure its successful operation.

This training program is an international exchange-based educational course established through cooperation between Silla University and the Mongolian National Police Agency. The curriculum focuses on practical training, including Korea's advanced policing systems, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), cybercrime investigation techniques, and case studies on police organization management.

The trainees will participate not only in theoretical lectures but also in field visits to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and related organizations, as well as Korean cultural experience programs. In particular, the curriculum is designed to enable trainees to apply what they have learned to local policing policies in Mongolia by having them prepare and present a Country Report and Action Plan.

Kim Yanghyun, professor of Police Administration at Silla University and head of the training program, stated, "This training serves as a meaningful opportunity to elevate cooperation between Korea and Mongolia in the field of policing," adding, "Based on Silla University's accumulated expertise in police education and international cooperation, we will provide effective, field-oriented training."

A representative of the Mongolian National Police Agency trainees commented, "It is very meaningful to directly learn about Korea's policing system and experience in responding to cybercrime," and added, "We will actively participate in this training to contribute to strengthening our country's policing capabilities."

Silla University plans to use this training program as a stepping stone to continuously expand its global cooperation network in the fields of international police education and public sector training.
