Linking Public Delivery Apps and Onnuri Gift Certificates
Seo-gu in Gwangju City is set to actively implement the "Living Expense Reduction Season 2" policy, which links the public delivery app with Onnuri gift certificates.
Seo-gu held a business agreement ceremony on the 24th at the Seo-gu Office Nanum Hall to support consumption promotion using the public delivery app (Ttaenggyeoyo), with officials from the Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation and Shinhan Bank Co., Ltd. in attendance. Seo-gu announced on the 29th that it signed a "Seo-gu Public Delivery App Operation Business Agreement" on the 24th with the Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation and the Ttaenggyeoyo business unit of Shinhan Bank Co., Ltd.
From February to June next year, Seo-gu will issue 100 million won worth of 2,500-won discount coupons to Onnuri gift certificate-affiliated stores registered with "Ttaenggyeoyo" in Seo-gu. The coupons will be offered to the first 500 users each day from Monday to Thursday and can be used for orders of 20,000 won or more.
As a result, residents using the public delivery app "Ttaenggyeoyo" can enjoy a combined discount effect of up to 27.5%, including a 10% upfront discount on Onnuri gift certificates, a 5% payback implemented from mid-January, and the 2,500-won discount coupon issued by Seo-gu.
The public delivery app "Ttaenggyeoyo" operates with a 2% brokerage fee, significantly reducing the commission burden compared to private delivery platforms. In addition, expanding Onnuri gift certificate payments and holding discount events are expected to increase order volume, allowing small business owners to experience both commission savings and increased sales.
This policy is particularly significant because Seo-gu was the first in the country to designate the entire district as a neighborhood-type shopping area and expand the use of Onnuri gift certificates offline, and is now extending these achievements to the online and delivery consumption sectors. It is being recognized as a pioneering win-win model that expands the economic recovery strategy initiated in local neighborhoods into the digital consumption environment.
"Ttaenggyeoyo" is a public-private partnership, non-financial delivery platform operated by Shinhan Financial Group as part of its social contribution efforts, designed to support small business owners struggling with high commission structures. Seo-gu plans to combine this with digital Onnuri gift certificates to both expand resident discounts and ease the burden on small business owners.
Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "Through the public delivery app, residents can reduce living expenses by up to 27.5%, while small business owners benefit from lower commission burdens and tangible advantages. We will continue to lead the recovery of neighborhood economies and establish a sustainable local economic model based on public-private cooperation."
