The hands that protect the mountains are now nurturing the dreams of students.


Yeongyang County (Governor Oh Dochang) announced that on December 29, the Yeongyang County Forestry Cooperative (President Kim Sungwoong) visited the Yeongyang County Office and donated 10 million won to the Yeongyang County Talent Development Scholarship Foundation to support the cultivation of local talent.

This donation event was organized at the end of the year to practice warm sharing within the local community. The Yeongyang County Forestry Cooperative has consistently donated scholarships at the end of every year, serving as a steadfast supporter of the dreams of local youth.


The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Sungwoong, President of the Forestry Cooperative, along with other cooperative officials, adding significance to the occasion.


Through forestry projects closely tied to residents' daily lives, the Yeongyang County Forestry Cooperative contributes to revitalizing the local economy. In addition, it has taken the lead in coexisting with the local community by engaging in diverse social contribution activities, such as donating funds for wildfire damage and delivering goods to underprivileged neighbors every year.


Kim Sungwoong, President of the Yeongyang County Forestry Cooperative, stated, "Just as our cooperative nurtures forests, I believe that cultivating local talent is also the most valuable investment for the future. Going forward, we will not only enhance the value of forests but also strive to be a warm financial and forestry institution that grows together with county residents while caring for those in need within the community."


Oh Dochang, Chairman of the Yeongyang County Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, said, "I express my deep respect and gratitude to the Yeongyang County Forestry Cooperative for always taking the lead in sharing during difficult times. The scholarship you have provided will be used with care so that students can focus on their studies without financial burden and grow into talented individuals who will shine a light on Yeongyang County in the future."
