Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit participants for the first half of next year's public work and local community job programs from January 5 to January 16, 2025.
The number of recruits is 118 for public work programs such as free senior meal service assistants and environmental cleanup, and 13 for local community jobs such as Sonkkeut Sarang and the Job Discovery Team.
Eligible applicants are Icheon residents aged 18 or older whose household income is at or below 70% of the median income and whose household assets are less than 400 million won. Those wishing to apply should bring their ID and visit their local administrative welfare center. The work period will last for four months, from March to June 2025.
A city official stated, "This program will provide various job opportunities for low-income individuals and the unemployed, contributing to livelihood stability, revitalization of the local economy, and job creation. We will continue to expand support for vulnerable groups in the job market."
