Collaboration for Training Professionals and Institutional Improvements
Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 29th that it had signed a business agreement with the Korea Drone Enterprise Association on the 26th at the Robot Drone Startup Support Center to promote the drone industry.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will mutually support each other's resources and capabilities when promoting drone-related projects, collaborate on training drone professionals, expand the use of drones in the public sector, and work together on policy research and institutional improvements to foster the drone industry.
Earlier this year, the city has been actively fostering the industry by pursuing various drone demonstration city projects. These include the demonstration of a multipurpose urban park drone delivery service (K-Drone Delivery) and performance verification tests for drone delivery in collaboration among the public, private, and military sectors. The city has established a standard model and a phased roadmap for the commercialization of drone delivery.
On the same day, the final report meeting for this year's drone demonstration city project was also held. During the event, a demonstration flight of a drone for park safety management showcased the potential of drones in public safety areas, such as wildfire detection and crime prevention.
Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, said, "We will continue to actively integrate drone technology into administration and citizen safety, striving to make Icheon a future city that leads the drone industry."
