A 21-Year Veteran Since His 2005 Domestic Tour Debut
Ranked 4th in Genesis Points and 8th in Prize Money This Year
"I've Spent 31 of My 41 Years with Golf"
Choi Jin-ho is a leading player on the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour.
He made his KPGA Tour debut in 2005 and has played for 21 years through this year. Next season will mark his 22nd year on the tour. Choi Jin-ho has competed in a total of 263 tournaments on the KPGA Tour and has recorded eight victories.
He has also won the Genesis Grand Prize twice. In terms of total career earnings in Korea, he ranks third, with 3,386,326,734 won. Choi Jin-ho said, "Golf is everything in my life. Out of my 41 years, I have spent 31 years with golf," adding, "I love golf the most and I am good at it. I plan to play golf for a long time."
Choi Jin-ho performed well again this year. He played in 20 tournaments, finishing in the top 10 six times, including a tie for second at the Lexus Masters. He finished the season ranked fourth in Genesis Points with 4,730.61 points and eighth in prize money with 424,800,459 won. He commented, "Looking back on this year, it was a season where I proved my competitiveness and consistency overall. There were chances to win, but I regret not making the most of those opportunities," and added, "My goal for next season is to maintain the same level of competitiveness as in 2025."
Choi Jin-ho is known for his steady performance. He plays with composure and solidity. His stable game management and course strategy are also outstanding. He said he wants to play even more consistently next year. He explained, "There were times when I felt I lacked stamina during contention for a win, so I plan to improve on that," adding, "I will start preparing for the season earlier than before," signaling his determination for next year.
