By telling the story from the production sites to the dining table, the film presents the present and future of Korean seafood.

This documentary consists of two episodes (each 30 minutes long) and will air consecutively on MBC on January 28, 2026 (Wednesday), with Part 1 at 9:00 p.m. and Part 2 at 9:40 p.m. On the same day, it will also be uploaded to the OTT platform Wavve, and will broadcast at 9:10 p.m. (U.S. Pacific Time) on MBC America, channel 2081 on DirecTV. "K-GIM Revolution," featuring global presenter Chef Ahn Sungjae, follows the major gim-producing regions and documents the entire process from farming to processing and export. It demonstrates why Korean gim, managed under strict standards, is gaining attention in the global gourmet market. In particular, by showcasing fine dining dishes and various culinary interpretations using gim, the documentary illustrates how gim has become a global gastronomic trend, no longer limited to Asia.

The production team stated, "Through this documentary, we wanted to present both the present and future of Korea's seafood industry through gim, as well as Korea's place in the world of food culture," adding, "We hope the value of the K·FISH brand and the excellence of Korean gim will be naturally conveyed to global viewers."

An official from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries also commented, "Gim is a key product symbolizing the competitiveness of Korea's seafood industry, and through the K·FISH brand, the safety and quality of our seafood is gaining international recognition," adding, "We hope this program will serve as an opportunity to highlight the value of Korean gim and the trustworthiness of Korean seafood to the world."

"K-GIM Revolution," which captures the journey of a single sheet of gim from the Korean sea to tables around the world, is expected to become a global story sharing the trust and potential of Korean seafood.
