Donation Ceremony for "Beautiful Sharing" Held with Financial Sector on December 29
On December 29, the Financial Supervisory Service announced that it held a "Beautiful Sharing" donation ceremony in Yeouido, Seoul, together with 21 domestic financial institutions, and jointly delivered 1.625 billion won to The Salvation Army.
Beautiful Sharing is a flagship social contribution initiative in the financial sector that began in 2011 and has continued for 15 years. This year, each participating institution actively joined the fundraising efforts to fulfill their social responsibility, resulting in a record-high amount raised.
The Salvation Army plans to use the donations from the financial sector to purchase various daily necessities and deliver them to low-income families and welfare facilities. It also intends to carry out activities such as remodeling outdated welfare facilities and providing emergency living expenses to families in crisis.
Lee Chanjin, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, stated, "I hope that the financial sector's act of sharing today will help make our society a little warmer," and emphasized, "The Financial Supervisory Service will continue to work together with the financial sector to realize the values of love for our neighbors and social contribution."
