tvN Monday-Tuesday Drama "Spring Fever" Premieres January 5, 2026
Pohang's Landmarks Shine in All-Location Filming, Rising as a K-Drama Hotspot
The first scene of the new year unfolds in Pohang.
tvN's "Spring Fever" is set to premiere on January 5, bringing a romance that arrives ahead of the season and is ready to stir viewers' hearts.
The new Monday-Tuesday drama "Spring Fever," filmed entirely on location in Pohang with the support of the Pohang City government, will air its first episode on January 5, 2026, at 8:50 p.m.
"Spring Fever" is a romantic comedy based on the popular web novel of the same name, with actors Ahn Bo-hyun (as Seon Jaegyu) and Lee Jubin (as Yoon Bom) in the lead roles, generating high expectations.
The story warmly and humorously follows Yoon Bom, a teacher who leaves behind her weary city life to work at a small school, and Seon Jaegyu, a parent who appears rough but has a warm side. Their lives become intertwined due to an unexpected incident, gradually opening their hearts and allowing new feelings to blossom.
In particular, "Spring Fever" is drawing attention for being filmed entirely on location in Pohang. Previously, the tvN drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," also filmed entirely in Pohang, became a representative success story after its broadcast, leading to an increase in tourists to Guryongpo, Homigot, and Cheongha, as well as revitalizing the local economy.
Building on this experience, the city expects that "Spring Fever" will similarly showcase Pohang's urban charm nationwide, expand tourism demand, and further invigorate the local economy.
The drama's main settings include Cheongha Middle School, the living spaces of the two protagonists in Guryongpo-eup, the vibrant Jukdo Market, Cheongpodo Caf? with its modern cultural atmosphere, as well as Homigot, the Railway Forest, and beaches stretching along the East Sea coast. The unique scenery of Pohang, where "the sea and the city" coexist, is expected to captivate viewers.
A city official stated, "Pohang's nature and daily life are portrayed attractively in the drama, and we expect it will deliver new inspiration to many viewers. Having already proven its competitiveness as a filming location for K-dramas, Pohang will continue to work on attracting various video content projects to further boost local tourism."
