The county will operate the "Winter Break Camp for Skill Improvement with Hwacheon County" from January 12 to February 13 next year.

The camp will be set up in both the Hwacheon area and the Sanae area.

For the Hwacheon area, first and second graders will attend the Hwacheon Lifelong Learning Center, while third to sixth graders will use the Hwacheon Community Center and the Family Center.

In the Sanae area, all first to sixth graders will participate in the camp at the Sanae Comprehensive Culture Center.

Applications can be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis through the County Lifelong Education website until December 31.

The Hwacheon area camp for first and second graders runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., while the camp for third to sixth graders runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.

In the Sanae area, the camp for first and second graders is held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., and for third to sixth graders from 1:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.

The camp will feature a variety of programs, including English, mathematics, science experiments, Chinese characters, and cooking.

The youth camp, held every summer and winter break, has greatly contributed to improving students' academic abilities as well as reducing parents' education and childcare burdens.

Hwacheon County also operated a summer break camp last July and August over three weeks for 120 first to sixth grade elementary students in both the Hwacheon and Sanae areas.

Choi Moonsun, Mayor of Hwacheon County, said, "We will do our utmost to ensure that Hwacheon students can enjoy quality learning opportunities during the break without having to travel far, and to manage the camp and its safety thoroughly."
